Imphal: Representatives of Uripok Apunba Lup, led by S. Tekendrajit Singh, along with six members also called on Governor at Raj Bhavan, here on Tuesday.
The delegation submitted a memorandum outlining various grievances faced by the residents of Uripok Assembly Constituency.
Key issues highlighted included the deteriorating condition of roads due to large potholes, non-functional street lighting, and frequent traffic congestion caused by the movement of heavy vehicles in residential areas.
The governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that the matter would be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate steps, said a statement released by the governor’s secretariat.
