Imphal: Security forces recovered drugs from two residences in Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi Darul Uloom Makha under Lilong police station, Thoubal District on Friday.
The security forces conducted a search operation at the residence of one Wangmayum Barul Alam of Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi Darul Uloom Makha. During the operation, contraband narcotics and psychotropic substances were found concealed at his house. Wangmayum Barul Alam was arrested.
The security forces seized 3.9 kg of Brown Sugar, seven soap cases containing suspected Heroin powder, 12 gm per case, an additional 0.53 grams of Brown Sugar, seven Codeine bottles of 100 ml each and seven mobile phones.
Further, in follow-up action, a sum of Rs. 1, 14, 220, which is the profit from selling drugs, 44 SP capsules, two strips containing seven N10 tablets, two strips containing 20 Diazepam tablets and two Codeine bottles were seized during a house search of one Yangkhubam Hafi of Darul Uloom Makha under Lilong-PS, Thoubal district, said Manipur Police Control Room.
