Imphal: A team of Champhai Police of Mizoram nabbed a Myanmarese on Monday in possession of contraband drug Heroin at Chalbawiha Junction Khankawn Police Check Gate.
The drug peddler was identified as Lalthangvunga, 47, son of Lalropuia of Khawmawi, Myanmar.
He was driving a Baleno vehicle bearing registration number No. MZ-01C-8591.
The police recovered 410 gm of Heroin contained in 31 soap boxes which were concealed in the tube of the spare tyre.
The Myanmarese drug smuggler was arrested and a case under NDPS Act and Foreigner’s Act has been registered.
