Security forces recover 10 weapons from  Churachandpur of Manipur

Imphal: Assam Rifles and Manipur Police have recovered ‘a huge cache of weapons, ammunition and war like stores’ from Kholmun village, Churachandpur.

“Acting on specific intelligence, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint operation in general area of Village Kholmun, in District Churachandpur and recovered a huge cache of weapons, ammunition and war like stores,” the Assam Rifles said in press release on Tuesday.

A total of 10 weapons along with ammunitions including one M4 Assault Rifle,  one 9mm Carbine, two Single Barrel  Rifles, four 9mm Pistols, two improvised Mortars, ammunition and war like stores were recovered, it added.

The recovered items have been handed over to Churachandpur Police station, it said.
