Imphal: After Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (Cocomi) declared to storm at Phougakchao Ikhai in Bishnupur district to push back the central forces barricades to Torbung Wangma, the state Home department has imposed full curfew in five districts on Wednesday.
The districts were Imphal West, Imphal, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kakching.
The curfew orders said no public will be allowed to for movement accept security personnel, essential services and media.
Various sections of valley people have been alleging the Assam Rifles and central forces for stopping valley people to counter Kuki-Zo rebels attack. It has been alleged that the barricade helps the Kuki rebels to attack Meitei citing many incidents to prove.
The apex committee decided to push back the barricade following people’s question of not acting as promised earlier by the committee.
