Mayang Imphal gets Agro Market Complex

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh on Wednesday inaugurated an Agro Market Complex at Mayang Imphal Bazaar. The market was constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 6.97 crore, funded by NEC.

Speaking at the inauguration function cum Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration held at N. Tomchou Higher Secondary School ground the chief minister said, “Leaders have great responsibilities to bring a nation to the path of prosperity and progress. As such, leaders should avoid fabrication and never speak lies to the people.”

Biren urged the people to elect those candidates who aspire to serve them with sincerity. He said many noble schemes had been introduced and CMHT health cards had been issued to around 4.5 lakh households besides providing benefits to many differently-abled persons under CMST.

Centre has approved Rs. 3,050 crore for the state to implement Jal Jeevan Mission – Har Ghar Jal to provide tap water to all the households 2024, he said. Under this scheme, a water supply scheme worth Rs. 12.5 crore would be taken up in Mayang Imphal AC soon. Around 50 per cent of the total households of Manipur are getting tap water now, he said.
