Rakesh Moirangthem’s “Panthougi Liklam” selected for 4th South Asian Short Film Festival, 2021

Imphal: “Panthougi Liklam” (Footprints of the father), a short film directed by Rakesh Moirangthem has been selected to screen at the 4th South Asian Short Film Festival, 2021 in the Panorama Fiction Category.

The festival is organised by Federation of Film Societies of India.

This short film had bagged Jury’s Special Mention Award in the 13th International Guwahati Film Festival.

It had also got Best Short Film award in the Short Film Competition On Netaji’s Dreams for India, 2021 organised by ministry of information and broadcasting, National Film Development Corporation; and got Grand Jury Award Best Actor in Chalachitram National Film Festival, 2021 held at Guwahati.

It was also selected for the OSCAR qualifying festival—Benguluru International Short Film Festival, 2021 in Non-Competition Section and for the 8th Siliguri Short and Documentary Film Festival, 2021.

The film is patriotic film. Tonthoi acts in the film which is produced by Suraj Khongbantabam and scripted by Somendro Moirangthem.

The cinematographer of the film is Dhamen Laishram. Its music is composed by Tenao HD. Shanti Raj is the production manager while the director himself is the editor of the film.
