Imphal: “With the entire world engaged in fighting the pandemic unleashed by the coronavirus, the people of our state have responded to fight the virus with utmost commitment” tribal affairs and hills minister said.
The minister ‘exceedingly’ appreciates the efforts of various Churches, CSOs, NGOs and selfless volunteers have been consciously helping this fight against coronavirus, tirelessly fighting alongside the health department even in the remotest hill areas. “Their efforts may not be echoed everywhere, but, I am exceedingly appreciative of the outstanding performance they made” he said.
Stating that the 10 days lockdown might have caused inconveniences and grueling difficulties to the people, he assured that the government has undertaken different schemes/packages to sustain the livelihood of the effected people.
The minister is organizing Mass Vaccination Drive for 56-Thanlon A/C at his residence, Dorcas Veng, New Lamka on the July 24. He appealed to those who are eligible for vaccination to take the vaccine, and remain safe from the second wave of Covid -19 pandemic as the successful implementation of this vaccination drive is a big step towards containing the spread of the virus.
