Imphal: Manipur Civil Service (MCS) Association along with some IAS/SCS officers of 2007 batch have donated 50 D-type oxygen cylinders to Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Manipur Cricket Association had also donated 40 D-type cylinders to the relief fund.
The oxygen cylinders costing a total amount of Rs 10 lakh were donated by the ssociation taking into account the immediate requirement of oxygen cylinders for use in treatment of Covid patients in various hospitals and Covid Care centres.
The MCS Association was represented by director, information and public relations Heisnam Balkrisna; director, social welfare and president, MCS Association Ngangom Uttam; additional district magistrate, Imphal west and secretary, MCS Association Yumnam Nelson and joint director, transport Dr Mayengbam Veto among others.
The government had been putting in all possible efforts to ensure no dearth of oxygen supply for treatment of Covid-19 patients in the state.
“Thank you Manipur Civil Service Association for your thoughtful donation of 50 D Type Oxygen cylinders to the state government. These cylinders which amount to roughly Rs 10 lakh is a generous contribution from the Association along like minded IAS/MCS officers of 2007 batch. I appreciate the officers for going out of their way to help the Government in fighting the covid pandemic, ” Biren said.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Manipur Cricket Association for donating 40 D-type cylinders to Chief Minister’s Covid Relief Fund. These oxygen cylinders will be of great help in the prevailing Covid situation in Manipur,” Biren writes on Facebook.
