Imphal: Lok Janashakti party (LJP), Manipur state unit has denounced non-appointment of health minister while the state is facing Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
LJP Manipur state Unit general secretary Khundrakpam Kanba Meetei, made the denunciation during distribution of hearing aid to the hearing impaired people of Thaoroijam, Taothong Apheiba and Lamsang Thong Maning of Lamshang Assembly Constituency on Thursday.
Kanba said he morally support to all the initiative taken of chief minister N. Biren Singh for the welfare Manipur people, however, Biren holding the portfolio of health minister rather than appointing one while the state is facing Covid-19 crisis will only create a big gap.
“Appoint a health minister at the earliest,” he demanded.
Not appointing of health ministers will only mean to invite a big fray between the people and the government, he added.
Kanba also distributed reading lamps and study materials to the students of Heibongpokpi, Akham, Taothong Ayungba, Taothong Apheiba, Taothong Khunou and Lamsang Bazar who are appearing the upcoming Class X and Class XII examinations.
