Imphal: Irambdam Kanba Apunba Lup (IKAL) has condemned the alleged murder of Sanaton Athokpam, a medical student at Regional Institute of Medical and supported the 24 hours total shutdown imposed by Justice for Sanaton Athokpam (JFSA).
Demanding to register an FIR immediately in connection with the alleged murder of Sanaton JFSA convenor Moirangthem Loyalakpa announced to imposed 24 hours total shutdown on Friday.
General secretary of IKAL, W. Luwangleima said the organisation strongly condemns the alleged murder of Sanaton on March 15.
It demanded quick justice for Sanaton.
IKAL said it will support all sorts of agitation and protest carried by JFSA in order to get justice for Sanaton.
The 24 hours statewide total shutdown imposed by JFSA starts from Monday 6 pm till Tuesday 6 pm.
JFSA says the state police has not yet filed an FIR in the case even a written request was submitted to the authority.
