Imphal: MKA Khumukcham Joykishan put up to construct a Meitei deity temple on the peak of Mt Koubru to safeguard the historic and sacred place at Mt Koubru.

Joykisan said to safeguard and promote Hinduism, the present central government leaders including union home minister Amit Shah took the initiatives by constructing Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh; similarly, the Meeitei community should construct a Meitei temple on the Mt Koubru peak.
“To initiate construction of a traditional temple at Koubru I will donate a sum of Rs 1 lakh to any organisation that announces to construct it,” Joykisan declared.
The past state government failed to take the initiatives but the present government can take the opportunity to construct the temple at Koubru, he added.
