Army organises World Bicycle Day in Manipur

Imphal: To commemorate World Bicycle Day, the Indian Army organised a Bicycle Rally in Bishnupur district.

Embracing and promoting the theme ‘Healthy Me, Healthy Environment’, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 65 people from all ages.

The Bicycle rally was flagged off at Toronglaobi and culminated at Sendra. Covering around 24 Kms, the cyclists promoted the message ‘Healthy Me, Healthy Environment’, encouraging locals to adopt cycling as a healthy habit in their daily routines and lifestyle.

The event culminated with an awareness lecture about numerous benefits of cycling, such as reducing carbon footprints, alleviating traffic congestion, bolstering one’s own health. Amidst ongoing challenges, this initiative was cherished by participants and locals alike, providing a sense of hope and positivity.
