Imphal: Representatives of Rongmei Naga Council, Manipur; All Manipur Polo Association and Manipur Drivers’ Association apprised governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla of their grievances during their meetings with the governor at Raj Bhavan, here on Friday.
The members of Rongmei Naga Council apprised the governor of various issues faced by the community in Tamenglong district such as delays in public distribution services, inadequate power infrastructure, unavailability of staff in healthcare facilities, poor transportation, and gaps in other essential services.
They also highlighted the urgent need for government intervention to improve infrastructure, ensure the delivery of basic amenities, and promote development. The governor assured them that appropriate action would be taken to address their concerns.
Representatives of the All Manipur Polo Association apprised him of various grievances related to the development of polo and other associated matters. The governor assured the delegation that steps would be taken up to address their concerns.
The members of the Manipur Drivers’ Association shared their grievances related to the challenges faced while transporting essential commodities.
They highlighted issues such as poor road conditions, the need for alternative by-pass routes, and other related concerns. The governor assured the delegation that the government would take necessary steps to address the issues raised.
