Six days of incessant rainfall in Manipur have flooded the Manipur valley. Water levels in almost all major rivers remained above the high flood mark. However, the Manipur River has receded slightly to the warning level. Local MLA, Heikham Dingo, visited the family members of the missing person and expressed sorrow.
For the Sekmai Assembly Constituency, people of Keirankabi, Kanglatongbi Hatikhuwa and Sekmai Parao were facing the flood. The MLA handed over relief materials, including bamboo and other materials to the people of the area for safety measures to prevent the river from further river bank erosion. He appealed to the people not to encroach on the riverbank.
