Imphal: A delegation of former members of the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) called on governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan, here on Friday,
The delegation submitted a memorandum concerning over the delay in holding ADC elections in the state and highlighted the various challenges and issues arising from the non-conduct of the elections.
They urged the governor to take necessary steps for conducting the ADC elections in the interest of the people residing in the hill areas.
ADC elections have not been held for more than four years.
