Imphal: With the confirmation of 16 new COVID-19 positive cases the cumulative number of positive cases rose to 53 in Manipur on Thursday.
The new cases were confirmed positive out of 38 samples tested on this day. Eight belonged to Imphal East, seven to Imphal West and one to Tengnoupal.
The positivity rate was 42.1 percent.
Imphal West has the highest cumulative positive cases of 30 followed by Imphal East with 15 cases. Fifty of the positive cases were in home isolation.
No infected person was recovered on this. So far two persons were discharged. The active cases stood at 51.
