Imphal: Security forces recovered 2.4 kg of Brown Sugar from a vehicle at Biisho bridge under Maram police station in Senapati district of Manipur on Tuesday.
The recovery was made during frisking and checking by security forces at the Biisho bridge.
“The security forces intercepted one Bolero pick-up vehicle driven by Mayarngam Khokyar, 45, of Kalhang village, Ukhrul district accompanied by Nima Sherpa, 34, of Sadim Naga village, Senapati district and found 220 soap cases containing suspected Brown Sugar weighing approximately 2.4 kg concealed inside the skinned body of the vehicle,” Manipur Police Control Room said.
The duo was apprehended and seized the drug.
