Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh with chief secretary of Manipur, Vineet Joshi met Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Thursday.
The convoy of chief minister entered at the Raj Bhavan main gate at around 4.45 pm and had a meeting the governor.
Sources reported that the meeting was a routine meeting with the governor to brief the current situation of Manipur.
Meanwhile, a post surfaced on social media went viral, the post read as “Breaking News, President Rule to be imposed in Manipur. HM Amit Shah convened an emergency meeting with Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla: Source”.
It is yet be confirmed that the said viral post is genuine or not.
During the meeting it is yet to be ascertained that what other agendas were discussed.
The convoy was seen leaving the Raj Bhavan at around 6.15 pm.
Ten Kuki-Zo MLAs including two cabinet ministers had been demanding for a separate administration for Kuki-Zo inhabited areas since the eruption of Manipur crisis, last May 3. They did not attend Manipur Legislative Assembly session two times consecutively. Some of them seek leave from the Speaker.
