Imphal: Manipur security advisor (SA) Kuldiep Singh must clarify within 24 hours on the reported involvement of Assam Rifles in the continuous firing incident occurred at Ashangkhullen and Taretlok in Kamjong district.
Shiv Sena Manipur unit Pradesh M. Tombi sought the clarification through a voice note on Friday.
He said gun fight has been continuing since Wednesday between a north east UG group and cadres of PDF and KNA(B) in Ashang Khullen and Taret Lok of Kamjong.
NSCN (I-M) has claimed that Assam Rifles are involved in the gun battle. Kuldiep must clarify the statement to public within 24 hours, he said.
Valley people of Manipur have been claiming that Assam Rifles are involved in the over a year long crisis by siding one particular community. It is now clear that Assam Rifles are involved in providing arms and ammunitions to a particular community (Kuki), he added.
Union Home minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi must have all the knowledge of the present crisis more than anyone in the state. They must have the knowledge of the role of central forces and Assam Rifles in the present crisis, said Tombi.
Tombi cautioned Kuldiep that people of Manipur will take a confirmation that Assam Rifles are involved, trying to disintegrate Manipur.
