Imphal: Security forces have apprehended an active cadre of proscribed outfit KCP (Taibanganba) from Thoubal district and recovered a pistol with bullets and a hand grenade from his possession, on Monday.
The militant was identified as Loitongbam Boyai Singh, 43.
Police said he was involved in extortion activities in general area of Yaripok-Nongpok Sekmai.
Fom his possession one pistol, 10 live ammunitions, one hand grenade with one detonator, one bag containing Rs 3000 and a Bolero vehicle were recovered and seized.
A case has been registered for further investigation, police said.
