Imphal: After considering the issues faced by the students of peripheral areas in appearing the class X and XII examinations, the government will take special measures especially for them to avoid drop out in examination, said chief minister N. Biren Singh in the House on Friday.
The chief minister was informing on the Assembly floor responding to the motion raised by opposition MLA Th. Lokeshwar in the agenda consideration and passing of Manipur Appropriation (No 2) Bills, 2024 (Bill no. 3 of 2024).
Responding to the motion raised by Lokeshwar on the Manipur Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2024 (Bill No.3 of 2024), leader of the House, N. Biren Singh said the government is aware of the issues faced by the students who are appearing Class X and XII examination from vulnerable areas.
On the account students, not able to concentrate on studies with the sporadic firing that leads a panicky situation among the students, the government will take a special measures for those students to avoid drop out, he added.
To maintain law and order the government has started deputing state forces along the central forces to avoid the communication gap that lead to sporadic firing in fringe areas, he said.
He said presently in some of the red zone area, the state forces and central forces have started securing the vulnerable spots.
Biren said commanding officers of respective battalion will be staying at vulnerable areas to control any unwanted incidents. The state government is also providing 20 new bullet proof vehicles and 10 large capacity bullet proof vehicles to state forces. Adding that another 20 bullet proof vehicles will be coming in the state.
Biren said the concerned ministry has approved to construct two designated camps out of three in Chanung area, Imphal East for Pambei led UNLF. He said the central government will give more approval for construction of designated camps for the same outfit in other areas.
