Imphal:Due to mishandling, Pompi (improvised mortar) blast reportedly killed one villager injuring two others at Huikot village, Churachandpur district on Friday afternoon.
The victim was Paominlun Haokip, 35, son of late Jamkholun of Kungpinaosen, Henglep sub-division under Loktak Police station).
The injured persons were Khupthang, 36, son of late Paolam of T.Phaijang, Churachandpur and TL Jems, 36, son of Manpao of Seitol, Churachandpur.
The dead and injured persons were taken to Churachandpur district hospital, a police report said.
