Imphal: Security forces have apprehended two persons from Indo-Myanmar border town Moreh in Tengnoupal district of Manipur on Thursday.
The duo were identified as Tongkhohao Haokip, 44, and Jamkholun Baite, 48, both residents of Moreh. They were nabbed from ‘Canan Veng’ village, Moreh.
They were arrested for possession of contraband drugs. Nine big packets and one open packet of suspected WY tablets weighing about 11.740 Kg (including the weight of packing materials) (around 80000 tablets) were recovered.
Two mobile phones, cash of Rs 400 and one auto rickshaw were also seized from the arrested persons.
A case has been registered for further investigation, police said.
