Imphal: As security forces continued their search operations in crisis ridden Manipur, arms and explosives were recovered on Saturday from Kongba Maru area in Imphal East district.
A combined team comprising of three teams of Imphal East Police commando and two teams of Sagolmang Police station and one each column of 16 and 22 Assam Rifles conducted ‘extensive and thorough search operation’ in and around Kongba Maru upper portion areas, which led to the recovery.
One single barrel gun, two 2″ motor ILL bomb with covers, five No. 36 HE grenades without detonator, two numbers of miniflare cartridge, were recovered, a police report said.
