Militant involved in kidnapping arrested

Imphal: One KCP (Noyon) cadre was allegedly involved in the kidnapping of three persons from Phubala, Bishnupur District on February 14.

He was identified as Leisangthem Naobi alias Yogen Meitei, 31, of Langol Game Village Punshi Leikai. He was apprehended from Khuman Pali road on Sunday.

“From his possession, two mobile phones, Rs 73,100 in cash and a car without a registration number were recovered. A case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing,” police said.
