Imphal: Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (Cocomi) has strongly condemned arson of its office located at Lamphel, Imphal West by unknown persons on Friday night.
The coordinating committee also condemned the bomb blast triggered on the DM University campus where one student succumbed to his injuries while another was injured. Te blast took place at around 9: 30 pm of Friday.
The committee coordinator Somorendro Thokchom said amid the crisis it is unfortunate that a bomb was blasted inside DMU campus in which one student succumbed to his injuries and another students was injured.
For the last over 9 months people of Manipur including various civil bodies and others are trying to defend from the various attack of Kuki narco-terrorist. As the goals are same to protect Manipur all the organisations and civil bodies need to work with cooperation. Since the initial period of the crisis Cocomi has been working with the support of the public, he added.
Cocomi has been working on documentation of the crisis and even the coordinating body has been providing financial assistance to some injured in connection with the crisis, he said.
The unwanted incidents that occurred at various parts of Manipur might bring enmity among the organisations. Such incidents should be avoided and all the organisations should work with unity, said Somorendro.
He appealed the security advisor to take necessary security arrangement to avoid similar incidents that occurred due to security lapses.
