Imphal: Manipur chief N. Biren Singh and minister L. Susindro Meitei inspected the ongoing construction work of the Police HQ at Mantripukhri, here on Saturday.
The newly constructed Police HQ will help facilitate the security forces in law enforcement, mobilization of police personnel and overall maintenance of law and order, Biren said on social media platform.
The chief minister also attended a function for the distribution of potato seeds organised by Economic and Resource Development Organisation.
During the simple function at the chief minister’s secretariat, Biren appreciated the organisation. He said their policy of providing seeds and then buying back the harvested potatoes from the farmers is a laudable initiative.
The chief minister also highlighted some developmental schemes like the CMHT, School Fagathansi Mission, Start-up and others taken up for the welfare of the people and said under the present government Manipur is going forward and quality of life has improved tremendously in the state.
