Imphal: Trained Nurses Association (TNA) of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal East and people strongly condemned the bullet attack at the residence of JNIMS director Laishram Deben on Monday evening.

In a release issued by president and secretary of TNA, JNIMS on Tuesday mentioned that since the present turmoil was erupted in Manipur, medical staff of JNIMS including its director, medical superintendent, nursing superintendent, doctors, nurses and other paramedical staff have been providing their service round the clock irrespective of communities, caste or creed.
To provide maximum service for any injured, director, JNIMS, L Deben made himself available round the clock in the hospital.
Attacking at the residence of the director is highly condemnable, the protesting nurses said.
People staged protest at Kakwa condemning the attack. They demanded the government to book the culprits while asking the attackers to clarify.
