Imphal: People of Patsoi Assembly Constituency have demanded to give Capital Punishment to the murderers of two Meitei students, during a protest rally organised by seven local clubs of the constituency against the abduction and brutal killing of two students at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak along NH-37 on Wednesday.
Both the students belonged to Patsoi Assembly Constituency.
After CBI arrested four accused persons, who belonged to Kuki, in connection with the murder case of the two students, various sections have been taking up demonstrations demanding justice for the two teenagers, Hijam Linthoingambi and Phijam Hemanjit.
The four accused were arrested by a joint team of CBI, state force and central forces from Henglep area of Churachandpur district on Sunday.
People have been demanding to the government to handover the bodies to the bereaved families.
Meira paibies under the jurisdictions of seven local clubs, Ideal Club; Juvinil Club; UPDO; Nalamshang; Neinashang; Kyspa and Young Bright Star Club jointly demonstrated the protest.
A protestor Khuraijam Thasana Devi demanded the law implementing agency to give capital punishment to the murderers.
The people of Manipur demanded to wipe out all the Kuki Narco-terrorist from Manipur in order to bring a permanent solution of poppy issue, she added.
The protestors also demanded to implement NRC in Manipur and to stop poppy cultivation in Manipur.
