IRCS members meet governor

Imphal: ​Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Manipur Narendra Ningombam along with two others met governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, here on Monday and informed that essential items such as mosquito nets, kitchen sets, blankets and hygiene kits have already been received from the Indian Red Cross Society, New Delhi which is to be further distributed to different relief camps in Manipur.

The team also informed the bovernor that there are enough stocks of tarpaulin sheets that can be distributed to inmates in relief camps as per requirement.

The governor advised the team and chalked out plan for distribution of the relief materials and urged for evenly distribution to all the affected people staying in various relief camps in valley as well as hill districts. She said her office will facilitate for the transportation of relief materials if need arises.

She informed that she will soon further extend maximum assistance for IDPs.
