Imphal: Akhilesh Prasad Singh, newly appointed IG, CRPF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector has assured governor Anusuiya Uikey to extend his fullest cooperation from his side to restore peace and tranquillity in the state.
The senior officer met the governor at Raj Bhavan, here on Thursday.
The IG, informed the governor that he has newly joined as IG, CRPF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector. He said he is already well aware of the current crisis arising out of the ethnic clash.
The governor said, the timely deployment of central security forces including CRPF, could contain the situation from bad to worse. She uged the IG to extend assistance to the violence affected people who have been taking shelter at different relief camps.
