Imphal: In a gesture of gratefulness to Governor Anusuiya Uikey for her indomitable and selfless services at this time for the people of Manipur, a team of painters from Kakching led by Thoithoiba Mayanglambam along with Sagolsem Ronel, Khumukcham Ratan and Tekcham Nando presented a hand painted portrait of the governor at Raj Bhavan on Friday.
The portrait was on handicraft item (Yangkok), which is used for husking rice.
The painters apprised the difficulties faced by the artist due to the prevailing law and order situations of the state. Anusuiya assured the artist team to extend necessary assistance from her office.
