Manipur experiences highest Dengue cases

Imphal: With one death case Manipur this year records highest Dengue cases of 215 as per current official record.

The death of one male resident of Yairipok Yambem, Thoubal district was the first who was infected with the dengue.

After given treatment, he died on Monday due to his illness.

As per officials, the state has a total dengue case of 215 in which Imphal West has 123 cases; Imphal East 32 cases; Bishnupur 16 cases; Chandel two cases; Tengnoupal 8 cases; Churachandpur four cases; Thoubal 19 cases; Kangpokpi five cases Kakching four cases while Senapati and Noney has one case each.

Among the eleven districts Imphal West recorded the highest confirmed cumulative cases of dengue followed by Imphal East and Thoubal districtrespectively.

Health and Family Welfare minister S. Ranjan had appealed earlier during launching of Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) to maintain proper hygiene by cleaning the surroundings clean to avoid mosquito breeding and to wash hands properly.
