Governor summons Manipur Assembly session on August 29

Imphal: Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey has summoned 4th Session of the Twelfth Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 29.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (I) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I, Anusuiya Uikey, Governor of Manipur, hereby summon the 4th Session of the Twelfth Manipur Legislative Assembly to meet at 11.00 AM on Tuesday, the 29th August, 2023 in the Assembly Hall, Imphal.

The notification was issued amid calls from various sections of the state to convene Assembly session to discuss issues of the ongoing Manipur crisis that triggered on May 3.
