Imphal: While farmers in Manipur are facing severe financial crisis to start paddy cultivation amid the crisis MLA T. Robindro distributed fertilizers especially Urea to farmers on free of cost on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion conducted at a community hall, Moirang Khunou, Bishnupur district, Robindro said due to the crisis and with lack of financial assistance most of the farmers are in tense on starting the paddy cultivation.
To assist the farmers for a better yield in the coming year he distributed the fertilizers especially Urea on free of cost.
The people representative appealed the people of various communities to cooperate each other in order to bring back normalcy in Manipur. “All the communities should be responsible in protecting the territorial integrity and boundary of Manipur.”
To bring back normalcy in Manipur, state and central government including different CSOs are taking various initiatives, he added.
Being a representative of public he said he has been performing his duty for the welfare of people and promises to continue, he said and assured that he will try to provide adequate fertilizer to the farmers for a better yield.
