Imphal: Chief minister N. Biren Singh took part in a protest rally decrying against the ‘inhuman act’ towards the two women that went viral on social media.
The protest was demonstrated at Luwangshangbam ground, Imphal.
Biren told reporters that the protest was organised decrying the inhumane act where two women were paraded naked at an area under the jurisdiction of Nongpok Sekmai police station.
The mass sit-in rally was organized at most of the Assembly constituencies including hill districts, he added.
The chief minister appealed the people not to repeat similar incident.
