Imphal: A total of 14 INC workers and one North East India Development Party (NEIDP) from Phungyar Assembly Constituency, Kamjong district have joined BJP during a function held at state head office, BJP here on Thursday.
State BJP president, A. Sharda told reporters during the welcoming ceremony that BJP state unit welcome the new members from Phungyar Assembly Constituency.
In the present political scenario many people are still approaching to join BJP after witnessing the developmental works and activities brought by the party leaders at various parts of the state, she said.
One of the newly joined BJP member from Phungyar, Jonah Shinglai said after witnessing the developmental changes brought under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and chief minister, N. Biren Singh they join the BJP.
