Imphal: A team of Imphal West district commando arrested one active cadre of proscribed underground organisation KYKL from Singjamei Keshtri Leikai near Singjamei bridge on Friday.
The arrested person has been identified as Joyson Abobmai alias Suraj alias Naoba, 41, son of Mahenthui Abonmai of Tapon Naga Village, T. Waichong Senapati district.
Joyson disclosed police that he is working under the command of one Mayengbam Langamba alias Nanao of Kairakk Machin near dam.
He also disclosed that he made monetary demands to brick fields of Thoubal area, many construction companies and hospitals under the command of his commander, Langamba of the underground organisation.
The police team recovered one cell phone from his possession.
The arrested person along with the seizures have been handed over to Singjamei police station.
