Imphal: Following confirmation of 717 Covid-19 positive cases and recovery of 740 Covid patients Manipur has 9016 active cases as on Saturday.
The new positive cases were from Imphal East (141), Imphal West (245), Thoubal (84), Bishnupur (41), Kakching (47), Ukhrul (6), Churachandpur (97), Chandel (23), Senapati (9), Tamenglong (12), Tengnoupal (1), Kangpokpi (5), Kamjong (1) Noney (3) and CAPF (2).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.
It said in the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported 9 Covid 19 deaths.
The district wise distributions are Imphal West (3), Imphal East (4), Bishnupur (1) and Kakching (1). The facility wise distributions are RIMS (3), JNIMS (2), Shija Hospital (2) and Babina (2). The cumulative number of deaths is 872, the control room said.
Out of the 740 persons discharged on Saturday 546 are from home isolation, 19 are from RIMS (14) and JNIMS (5) and the rest 175 are from other Covid care facilities, it added.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 54,407. The recovery rate is 81.82 percent, it said.
Latesr report says 414026 have been vaccinated.
