Imphal: A team of Kakching district commando of Manipur Police nabbed four drug peddlers including two women in two different occasions along with suspected heroin powder on Friday.
In a press note issued rom Public relation officer, Manipur police department, said a team of district commando, Kakching along with lady commando arrested one drug peddler at around 7 pm on Friday from Sora Chingjin in front of Sora police outpost.
The drug peddlers were identified as Letmang Haokip alias Mang, 36, son of Songthang Haokip of Saitu Gamphazol sub-division. During examination 518 grams of suspected heroin powder were recovered from a four wheeler SUV (Mahindra scorpio) bearing registration number AS01DN 4250.
The arrested persons along with the seizures has been handed over to Kakching police station for further legal action. A case has been registered in connection with the incident at the same police station.
On the same day at about 7.30 pm another team of district commando, Kakching along with lady commando personnel apprehended three drug peddlers from Wangbal Lamkhai, Kakching district.
The peddlers have been identified as one Paomilen Haokip, 35, son of Janthang Haokip of Pangmoul Village Saitu Gamphazol and Neilam Haokip, 43, wife of Lalkhumang Haokip of Pangmoul, Motbung and Lhingkim Haokip, 47, wife of Manglet Haokip of Pangmoul, Motbung.
They arrested persons along with suspected heroin powder weighing about 506 gram transporting in a SUV (Mahindra Bolero) bearing registration number AS05M 5573 have been handed over to Kakching police station for further investigation.
