Imphal: Covid-19 claimed yet another 15 persons and infected 530 more persons while 726 Covid patients were recovered in 24 hours.
The positivity rate on Sunday was 10.5 percent as 530 were found positive among 5059 samples.
“In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported 15 Covid 19 deaths. The district wise distributions are Imphal West (7), Imphal East (2), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (1) and Jiribam (1),” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The fresh positive cases belonged to Imphal East (79), Imphal West (170), Thoubal (56), Bishnupur (60), Kakching (36), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (53), Chandel (41), Tamenglong (6), Noney (1) and Jiribam (19).
“Today, 726 persons were discharged, out of which 526 are from home isolation, 15 are from RIMS (11) and JNIMS (4) and the rest 185 are from other Covid care facilities,”the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 59,852. The number of active cases is 8,499. The recovery rate is 84.17 percent, it added.
It said in the last 24 hours, a total of 1791 D-type oxygen cylinders and 498 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 356D, 61B filled cylinders out of these Bishnupur (60D,OB), Chandel (31D,7B), Churachandpur (71D,OB), Senapati (32D,OB), Thoubal (52D,20B), Ukhrul (25D,OB), Tamenglong (20D,5B), Jiribam (34D,2B), Moreh(6D,2B), Kamjong (3D,1B), Kangpokpi (SD,OB), Kakching (9D,22B), Noney(2D,OB) and Pherzawl (6D,2B).
As per latest information 467076, individuals have been vaccinated so far in the state.
