Manipur has 6904 active cases

Imphal: With the confirmation of 644 fresh Covid-19 positive cases Manipur as on Thursday has an active cases tally of 6904.

In the past 24 hours, 644 persons were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases. They belonged to Imphal East (191), Imphal West (304), Thoubal (36), Bishnupur (33), Kakching (29), Ukhrul (6), Churachandpur (27), Chandel (5), Tengnoupal (3), Kangpokpi (5) and Noney (5), Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

All necessary medical pre-cautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it said.

In the last 24 hours, 11 persons aged 48 years (male, Imphal West), 33 years (male, Imphal East), 34 years (female, Churachandpur), 78 years (male, Imphal West), 43 years (male, Imphal West), 85 years (male, Imphal West), 60 years (female, Imphal East), 57 years (female, Imphal West), 65 you (female, Imphal West), 42 years (male, Imphal East) and 58 years (female, Imphal West) expired at Sabina (1), Shija Hospital (1), DH Churachandpur (1), RIMS (5) and JNIMS (3) hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 646, the control room said.

A total of 546 Covid-19 patients were discharged from CAPF (2), Home Isolation (410), RIMS (3), RD Wing (16), BB (17), LANVA (5), NSU (16), SHRI (16), Babina Speciality Hospital (2), Jivan Hospital (8), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (7), Kakching (9), Ukhrul (9), Churachandpur (5), Kangpokpi (1), Tamenglong (2), Tengnoupal (3), Phungyar (2) and Kasom Khullen (2).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 41,909 and the recovery rate is 81.98 percent, the control room said.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1367 D-type oxygen cylinders and 571 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.

As per the latest information 331631 individuals in the state have been vaccinated.

Air passengers who travelled to the state on May 19 by Air India AI-889 in rows 15-21 should inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective district surveillance officers for further surveillance and necessary testing, the control room said.
