Imphal: In 24 hours Manipur witnessed 23 Covid-19 related death cases, 582 fresh cases and recovery of 347 Covid patients.
The death cases belonged to Imphal East (6), Bishnupur (6), Imphal West (5), Thoubal (2), Kakching (2), Churachandpur (1) and Ukhrul (1).
The positive cases were from Imphal East (137), Imphal West (278), Thoubal (19), Bishnupur (26), Kakching (20), Ulchrul (11), Churachandpur (51), Chandel (11), Senapati (6), Tamenglong (2), Tengnoupal (3), Kangpokpi (5) CAPF (12) and Pherzawl (1).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said on Wednesday.
It said 347 Covid patients were discharged from CAPF (26), Home Isolation (240), RIMS (10), JNIMS (1), BB (12), NSU (16), SHRI (8), Babina Speciality Hospital (2), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (5), Jivan Hospital (3), Thoubal (8), Bishnupur (2), Ukhrul (12), Kangpokpi (1) and Senapati (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 41,265, number of active cases is 6817 and recovery rate is 81.94 percent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1355 D-type oxygen cylinders and 523 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur, the control room said.
Air passengers who travelled to the state on May 11 by Indigo flight 6E-2251 in rows 31-37 and on May 8 by Air India AI-889 in rows 18-24 must inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345.3818 or respective district surveillance officers for further surveillance and necessary testing.
One air passenger was confirmed positive at Imphal airport. The cumulative number of air passengers positive for Covid-19 was 112 as on Wednesday.
As per the latest information 323391 individuals have been vaccinated.
