Imphal: Seventy-two persons including 21 central security personnel were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases in Manipur bringing up the active cases to 255.
The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal East (7), Imphal West (19), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (7), Kakching (5), Churachandpur (3), Chandel (6) and Noney (1). “All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place,” the state Covid-19 common control room said.
In the last 24 hours, there was no report of Covid related death. The cumulative number of deaths was 376. Seven Covid-19 patients were discharged. The cumulative statistics of positive cases was 29,721. The recovery rate dropped to 97.87 percent.
Air passengers who travelled to the state on April 15 by Air India flight AI 713 in rows 3-9 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately, the control room said. Latest report says 10, 6284 persons have so far been vaccinated.
