Imphal: A 60-year old coronavirus infected 60 man from Nongmeibung Purana Rajbari, Imphal East district died at JNIMS at around at 6 am on Tuesday.
The deceased had co-morbid health conditions. He was admitted to JNIMS on August 10 evening.
With this case the death toll related to the contagion has reached 12 in the state.
Congress MLA Md. Fajur Rahim of Wabagai AC was tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.
Thirty-two persons tested positive in Thangmeiband as new cases.
According to Covid-19 common control room, on Monday till 5 pm 100 new positive cases including 43 personnel from Central Armed Police Force were reported and 78 persons were discharged after they were found negative and free from the contagion. Fifty of the positive cases has no travel history.
