Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 5, 2020: Manipur government has on Saturday listed seven oil filling stations to open from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon during the period of lockdown/curfew due to Covid-19 pendemic with immediate effect.
Uripok Energy Station, Imphal West has been alloted for ministers and MLAs.
NRL Services, Telipati, Imphal East has been alloted for vehicles carrying essential items and food, including wholesale dealers and retailers, home delivery personnel authorised by deputy commissioners concerned.
BB & Co., Sangaiprou has been alloted for FCI, CAF & PD trucks engaged in transportation/shifting of PDS food grains, IOC tankers and and LPG transporters.
Manipur Highway Station, Imphal East has been alloted for FCl/CAF&PD trucks engaged in transportation of PDS foodgrains along Imphal-Dimapur National Highway.
Highway Petroleum Agency, Tera Bazar, Imphal West has been alloted for JNIMS/RIMS, private hospitals/clinics and their essential staffs.
lbochou Service Station, Kakwa, Imphal West has been alloted for vehicles engaged in garbage’s/solid waste under IMC, telecom services and bank staffs.
PCTC, Imphal West has been allotted for all other essential services not allotted to any other oil pumps.
The management of the oil pumps shall ensure that petrol and diesel is issued only to the vehicles possessing Curfew passes issued by the CAF&PD department/deputy commissioners concerned, said an order issued by commissioner (CAF & PD) Bobby Waikhom on Saturday.
Social distancing norms should be maintained at the premises of the oil pumps in view of the Covid outbreak, it added.
Issuing of POL to unauthorised vehicles will be illegal and strictly prohibited. Purchase of petrol/diesel in containers/jerrycans will not be allowed and action will be taken against oil pumps which are found opened beyond permitted hours, it said.
CAF&PD officials will supervise the issuing of the POL at the above oil pumps and ensure that the above allocation is strictly enforced, it added.
