Manipur begins monitor noise air during Covid-19 lockdown

Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 24, 2020: Manipur pollution control board (MPCB) has initiated monitoring the level of noise ambience and air quality in the state capital, Imphal.

The environment monitoring programme was launched as directed by the board chairman  Radhakishore Singh on Wednesday.

A government order mentioned that monitoring of ambient noise and air quality will be conducted from April 24 till May 5 at different locations of the city area from 11 am to 3 pm which started from Keishampat junction on Friday.

The monitoring will continue at Singjamei parking on April 27; Nupilal complex on April 29; Nagamapal on May 1; Wahengbam Leikai on May 3 and Kalimai temple, Babupara on May 5.

The order further mentioned that deputed staffs shall wear face mask, use hand sanitizer and shall maintain social distancing.
