Bishnupur, January 30, 2018(DIPR): Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Smt. Nemcha Kipgen sternly stated that the policy of no work, no pay will soon be effective to the employees of her departments. This was expressed today during a surprise visit at the District Social Welfare Office, Bishnupur District.
Minister Nemcha urged the officers-in-charge to properly maintain the attendance register and all the employees should inculcate the sense of punctuality by attending office in the official allotted timings without fail. One should not forget that salary is being paid by the government in order to efficiently serve the masses on time, she added. She also advised the official at the department to ardently listen to the grievances of the people by empathetically dealing them with love and sympathy.
During the visit, Social Welfare Minister checks all the rooms occupied by the District Social Welfare Office, Bishnupur District and asked the official to maintain the office compound neat and tidy.
As the employees in the District brings forward their major concern, Minister Nemcha assured the officials of the department that she will extend all possible assistance for their welfare and asked them approach her for any assistance and concern pertaining to the welfare and development of the department.
Minister Nemcha expressed that such spot visit in the District offices will be frequently done in the coming days so as to ensure that the offices in all the districts are functional and that the district offices will serve its purpose for people residing in far flung areas and those from every nook and corner of the state. In this way, Social Welfare department will be successful to reach out to all the right beneficiaries and for the welfare of all sections of the society, she asserted.
