Imphal, Oct 17: Demanding implementation of 7th pay commission in the state, the Joint Administrative council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions’ Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees Organisation (AMGEO) today appeals all the employees not to resort to strike independently to press for the demand.
Talking to the reporters at the office of AMTUC and AMGEO at Babupara, Senior Advocate Khaidem Mani, President of JAC AMTUC and AMGEO said that the JAC have been demanding the implementation of 7th pay commission in the state since 2016.
The JACs core committees have also submitted a charter of demand which have 22 points pressing for implementation of 7th pay commission, he added.
Khaidem Mani also said that the government has re-assured the JACs for implementation of 7th pay commission but it has fails to take a positive solution regarding the implementation of the 7th pay.
Khaidem Mani further said that they all should protest as united to make a bigger impact on the government and requested the independent entities of employees not to resort any form of agitation like pen down, mass casual leave, rally or seize work as it will not have any impact on the government decision.
The JAC core committee also announced that they will meet chief minister N. Biren Singh within 15 days to demand the 7th pay commission and also the delegation of the committee will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jetley very soon. It also welcome those different independent trade union bodies that are not in the joint administrative council who also demanded for the implementation of the 7th pay in the state.
